4 Tips To Lose Weight!

When trying to lose weight, it seems like there are so many options.. How do I know the direction I should take? What method should I use? 

Now-a-days, it is really difficult deciding the direction you should take to lose weight because there are so many different programs that say different things about how your body works, and whats best for you. To make things even worse, many times these programs contradict each other. It can get confusing, I know.

Everyone wants to offer you a new dieting method, a new supplement, a new wrap, a new training style, a new patch, a new science, a new pill, a new dumbbell, a new whatever.

With all of this craziness, is there any clarity, any hope at all?!

Yes! There sure is.

While there are many of different passing ideas and styles for losing weight (or claiming to lose weight), there are plenty healthy fundamentals of weight-loss that will not change. Learn to strip away the confusion by focusing on perfecting the habits of healthy living. Practicing these habits will kick-start your weight-loss journey. I have listed four below.

 Make these four practices a constant in your daily routine for the next 2 weeks and you will begin to see and feel the difference. Work hard, be consistent, and you will love the results.

 

 

1. Food 

Do not starve yourself, eat food. Eat mostly foods that are good for you, high in quality nutrients – typically not fast food. Stick to the whole foods often located on the outer edges of the grocery store. Consuming mostly “clean foods” will make it really difficult to overeat. Take your vitamins, everyday.

2. Exercise

Try to exercise 4-5 times a week. (30-60 minutes)

Just get moving! Run, jump, stretch, play a sport, weight train, etc.

To lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you eat everyday. Eat calories and burn them, don’t just refuse to eat. Eating and exercise will increase metabolism. Starving yourself slows your metabolism. Science.

3. Water

Drink water. A good goal is 0.5-0.7 oz. of H2O per pound of body weight daily. Do this.

4. Patience and habit-building

Be patient with progress, do not reward the weight drop alone, but reward also your habit changes. Develop your mindset to think healthy, eating and exercise – not starvation to drop weight. Build habits, and be patient for progress. I promise, it will come with consistent effort!

 

There you have it, no confusion – easy. Begin practicing these simple tips tomorrow to begin your weight-loss journey. Develop these habits with 100% effort. Be prepared for a challenge, and stay motivated. A few weeks later, once you have mastered these fundamentals, then begin to look into the little more complicated things like macro/micro-nutrients, workout supplements, different styles of exercise, etc.
